2024 LEAP Steering Committee Elections

The Lower Eastside Action Plan (LEAP) Steering Committee is a body of elected resident leaders who work collaboratively to build the resilience of Detroit’s eastside communities, by supporting and driving initiatives that align with the goals of LEAP and residents living in LEAP neighborhoods.

Each year, residents like you elect a new slate of LEAP Steering Committee members. These committee members commit to fully participating in and attending bi-monthly committee meetings; decision-making on behalf of LEAP residents; representing the LEAP Coalition at community and city meetings; resource sharing; and supporting the work of the LEAP Coalition.

Election Rules

  1. Elections open on May 1, 2024 and close on May 15, 2024.

  2. To vote in the LEAP Steering Committee elections, you must live in the following zip codes:
    48205, 48207, 48213, 48214, 48215, 48224

  3. All votes must be placed using our electronic ballot.

  4. You may only vote for ten (10) candidates.
